How GoatRemote Works

GoatRemote is an offline desktop app. There is no GoatRemote cloud service: transcription and commands run on your machine using local models, or using API keys you supply for your own cloud model provider. Your content, audio, and prompts are never sent to GoatRemote servers because there aren't any.

Privacy

• No data collection: The app does not collect, log, or transmit your inputs, transcripts, or usage telemetry.
• Your keys stay yours: Any API keys you add are stored locally by the app and only used to call your chosen provider directly.
• No analytics or tracking: The app contains no analytics SDKs, beacons, or cookies.
• Site + purchases only: Our website uses Stripe to process payments. We keep minimal purchase metadata (email and a download token) solely to deliver your download. This is separate from app usage and never touches your content.

Terms of Use

• License: You receive a non-transferable lifetime license for personal or internal business use, and all updates are included.
• Your responsibilities: You are responsible for safeguarding any API keys you add and for complying with your model provider's terms.
• No warranties: The app is provided "as is" without guarantees; use it at your own risk.
• Liability: To the fullest extent allowed by law, GoatRemote is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
